# Apollo

> Apollo provides supported virtual machines through AWS Marketplace, with a healthcare-focused approach to hardened operating-system foundations.

Important scope boundary: an Apollo image may support HIPAA security requirements, but it does not independently make a workload or organization compliant, certified, accredited, or authorized. Compliance depends on the complete system and operating program.

## Framework alignment

Apollo supports teams evaluating infrastructure against the HIPAA Security Rule, NIST SP 800-66 Rev. 2, the HITECH Act, HHS Healthcare and Public Health Cybersecurity Performance Goals, HICP 2023, and the HITRUST CSF. Framework support does not represent certification or a compliance determination.
